This piece makes me want to hop on a plane to Tuscany. I love the rich greens of the hill; it's rich, mossy and massive. Then these delicate little houses with their simple little trees are like the icing on the cake (hill). The blue mountain and sky are nicely subdued and yet wrap the scene in it's larger context. The luminosity in the green foreground reveals wonderful skill with the layering of the pastel.
